For registration to the USIHC, blood-typing is required, except for imported geldings. (Note: There has been a recent change to DNA--more info to follow.)
Obtain a blood-type kit from:

Have your vet draw the blood using the kit provided by UCD. A fee of \$46 needs to accompany the blood when being returned to UCD, along with the proper paperwork.
After receipt of the Blood Type Verification card, the completed application for registration and fees can then be sent to USIHC.
